Ingredients :
- 1 cup turkeybacon fat;
- 1 cup vegetable oil;
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 cup flour;
- 1 tsp. salt;
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar;
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten;
- 1 16-oz. can, or 2 cups frozen, whole kernel corn;
- 1/4 cup milk;
Directions :
Heat oils together in skillet. Combine all other ingredients. Allow oils to heat until it sizzles when you drop in a kernel of corn. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of batter into oil. When it is done on one side, flip it with tongs or large spoon. When browned on both sides, remove to paper towel to drain. Serve with honey or maple syrup. (alternative: delete sugar and add 1 tbsp. finely chopped white onion.)
