1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered milk
1 cup vegetable oil
1 Tbsp salt
2 packages fast rising yeast
7-9 cups all-purpose flour
2 packages of hot dogs or polish sausage links
Directions :
Combine water, yeast, and sugar to dissolve yeast. In a separate bowl combine milk, salt, and about 5 cups of flour. When yeast dissolves add the oil and pour into the dry mixture. Add flour a little at a time till it gets to the right consistency. You don’t want it too sticky but you also don’t want it too heavy. Allow to rise double in size. Punch the dough down and knead. Pinch off a tennis ball sized ball of dough. Pat it and spread it out. Place a cold hot dog in the center. Pull the ends of the dough up the sides of the hot dog and then wrap the sides and pinch the dough to seal. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until they are a golden brown Brush tops with butter and serve.
